VA – Accordéon Musette/Swing/Paris (1913-1941) (French Accordion) [2CD] (1999)
Íåâîçìîæíî ãîâîðèòü î ôðàíöóçñêîì àêêîðäåîíå áåç óïîìèíàíèÿ òîãî æàíðà, êîòîðûé èçâåñòåí êàê ñâîåé ñëàâîé, òàê è ñâîåé äóðíîé ðåïóòàöèåé: Ìþçåò. Îäíè ôðàíöóçû åãî îáîæàþò, äðóãèå — ïðåçèðàþò. Ýòîò æàíð äëÿ ìíîãèõ èíîñòðàíöåâ ÿâëÿåòñÿ ñèíîíèìîì Ïàðèæà, êîíöåíòðèðîâàííûì âûðàæåíèåì «ïàðèæñêîãî îáðàçà æèçíè».
Ñëîâî «ìþçåò» (îò ñòàðîôðàíö. muse — äóäêà) ïðîèñõîäèò îò íàçâàíèÿ èíñòðóìåíòà, êîòîðûé îëèöåòâîðÿåò òðàäèöèîííóþ ôðàíöóçñêóþ ìóçûêó. Åãî óñïåõ áûë íàñòîëüêî âåëèê, ÷òî îí äàë íàçâàíèå ïîïóëÿðíîìó òàíöó ïðè äâîðå Ëþäîâèêà XIV è Ëþäîâèêà XV. Ðàçíîâèäíîñòü âîëûíêè, èíñòðóìåíò ñîñòîÿë èç íåñêîëüêèõ òðóá è ìåøêà, íàïîëíÿâøåãîñÿ âîçäóõîì ñ ñèëüíûì çâóêîì, è ïðèâîäèëñÿ â äâèæåíèå ëåâîé ðóêîé èñïîëíèòåëÿ.
«Áàë ìþçåò». Ýòî âûðàæåíèå âíà÷àëå îçíà÷àëî áàë, äàâàåìûé îðêåñòðîì, âêëþ÷àâøèì, êàê ìèíèìóì, îäíó âîëûíêó (ìþçåò), êîòîðàÿ èñïîëíÿëà ãëàâíóþ òåìó.
Õîòÿ ïåðâûå ïóáëè÷íûå ïàðèæñêèå áàëû äàòèðóþòñÿ íà÷àëîì XVIII âåêà, íî òîëüêî â XIX âåêå îíè äîñòèãëè òàêîãî ðàçâèòèÿ, ÷òî ïðîâîäèëèñü âî âñåõ ïðåäìåñòüÿõ Ïàðèæà.
Ïîñòåïåííî â ÕÕ âåêå ìþçåò (âîëûíêà) óñòóïèë ñâîå ìåñòî àêêîðäåîíó. Õîòÿ áàëû ìþçåò èìåëè áîëüøîé óñïåõ â «Áåçóìíûå ãîäû» (1900-1914), íî óæå ê êîíöó Ïåðâîé ìèðîâîé âîéíû æàíð ìþçåò ïðèîáðåë òó ôîðìó, â êîòîðîé èçâåñòåí è ïîíûíå. Ïîÿâèëèñü íîâûå òàíöû — âàëüñ-ìþçåò, ÿâà (æàâà), ïàñîäîáëü, ôîêñòðîò. Òðàäèöèîííûå èíñòðóìåíòû îêîí÷àòåëüíî èñ÷åçëè èç ñîñòàâà îðêåñòðîâ. Òðàäèöèîííûå òàíöû ñìåíèëèñü ñîâðåìåííûìè ðèòìàìè. Ìþçåò ñòàë îòîæäåñòâëÿòüñÿ ñ ìóçûêîé öûãàí è ìàíóøåé, ãèòàðû íà÷àëè àêêîìïàíèðîâàòü àêêîðäåîíó.
Ïîÿâèëèñü àêêîðäåîíèñòû-âèðòóîçû. Îäíèìè èç ñàìûõ èçâåñòíûõ áûëè Æîçåô Êîëîìáî, Ýìèëü Êàððàðà, Ãåðèíî (öûãàí, êîòîðîìó àêêîìïàíèðîâàë ñàì Äæàíãî Ðåéíõàðä), Àäîëüô Äåïðàíñ, Âèíñåíò Ìàðñî è äð.
 òå÷åíèå 1930-õ ãîäîâ íåêîòîðûå «ìîíñòðû» íà÷àëè äàâàòü ñâîè ïåðâûå áàëû: Ãóñ Âèç¸ð, Òîíè Ìóðåíà, êîòîðûå èñïîëíÿëè ñâèíã è â äàëüíåéøåì ñäåëàëè ñåáå êàðüåðó â äæàçå, è Ìåäàð Ôåððåðî, ìóçûêàíò, òàêæå âåñüìà ïî÷èòàåìûé êàê âåëèêèé ïåäàãîã.
Ïîñëå 1945 ãîäà óñèëèëîñü âëèÿíèå àìåðèêàíñêîé êóëüòóðû, ïîÿâèëèñü íîâûå èíñòðóìåíòû: áàíäæî, ôîðòåïèàíî, êîíòðàáàñ. Âàëüñ ñòàë ýìáëåìîé æàíðà ìþçåò. Ýòî ñäåëàëî ìóçûêó ìþçåò ïîïóëÿðíîé, íàïîëíÿþùåé íîâîé ðàäîñòüþ æèçíü îñâîáîæäåííûõ ôðàíöóçîâ.  òå÷åíèå ýòîãî ïåðèîäà ñàìûå èçâåñòíûå àêêîðäåîíèñòû ïîëó÷àëè ãðîìêèå çâàíèÿ Ïðèíöåâ, Êîðîëåé, Çâåçä…
Ƹ Ïðèâý äîáèëñÿ ïîïóëÿðíîñòè, âûðàæàÿ ñâîè ÷óâñòâà â ìþçåò «ìàíóø», ñëåäóÿ ïî ñòîïàì Äæàíãî Ðåéíõàðäà. Äðóãèå ïûòàëèñü âîçðîäèòü ïîïóëÿðíîñòü àêêîðäåîíà ñ ïîìîùüþ êëàññè÷åñêîé ìóçûêè. Ñðåäè íèõ ìîæíî íàçâàòü Àíäðå Àñòüåðà, Äæî Ðîññè è Ìàðñåëÿ Àööîëà.
1960-å ãîäû, ñ èõ ýâîëþöèÿìè è ðåâîëþöèÿìè, îòìå÷åíû íåêîòîðûì ñïàäîì ïîïóëÿðíîñòè ìþçåòà. Ìîëîäûå îòêàçûâàëèñü îò «ìèðà îòöîâ» è âñåãî, ÷òî ñ íèì ñâÿçàíî. Ìþçåò òàêæå îêàçàëñÿ â íåêîòîðîì çàáâåíèè ó ìîëîäåæè, êîòîðàÿ ïðåäïî÷èòàëà Woodstock è Beatles.  òå÷åíèå ïî÷òè 30 ëåò àêêîðäåîí ðàññìàòðèâàëñÿ êàê íå÷òî óñòàðåâøåå. Òàêîå îòíîøåíèå ïîääåðæèâàëîñü, â ïåðâóþ î÷åðåäü, ìàññ-ìåäèà, êîòîðûå ïðåäïî÷èòàþò «øèê», ôàñîí, à íå êà÷åñòâî.
 1990-å ãîäû øèðîêîå èñïîëüçîâàíèå àêêîðäåîíà ðîê-ãðóïïàìè èçìåíèëî îòíîøåíèå ê ýòîìó èíñòðóìåíòó. Îäíîâðåìåííî ïîÿâèëîñü íîâîå ïîêîëåíèå àêêîðäåîíèñòîâ, áîëåå òåõíè÷íûõ è ÷àñòî áîëåå ìóçûêàëüíûõ, êîòîðûå ñíîâà «äàþò áàëû».
